UCF at South Carolina
Kickoff: noon ET
Friday Line: South Carolina -14 (opened -14)
Over/Under: 44 (opened 44)
Public: 66 percent Gamecocks

Analysis: “UCF quarterback Justin Holman is out and the backup quarterback wasn’t very good last week. The running back, who was all-conference last year, got kicked off the team. They lost to Furman last week. And South Carolina is certainly not a team to be laying a big number with.

“I’m glad that Steve Spurrier is going with an athletic quarterback. He obviously looks very athletic running the ball.”

The Play: Pass.

LSU at Syracuse
Kickoff: noon ET
Friday Line: LSU -24.5 (opened -24)
Over/Under: 47 (opened 46.5)
Public: 72 percent Tigers

Analysis: “I don’t see this as a danger game. I can’t fathom Leonard Fournette not having a huge game. He looked like the best player in America last week. I think LSU gets at least 38, probably more. At home, I would think Syracuse can manage 10 to 14.

“I just can’t lay points like that on the road. Don’t know what to expect from an inexperienced Syracuse quarterback, but a bad quarterback isn’t necessarily a bad thing for an over. You’ve got an inexperienced quarterback, he can throw a pick six or turn the ball over and give LSU a short field.”

The Play: Over the 47 points.

Southern at Georgia
Kickoff: noon ET
Friday Line: Georgia -51.5 (opened -54.5)
Over/Under: 74.5 (opened off)
Public: N/A

Analysis: “Throw this one out. Georgia needs to stay healthy and get ready for Bama.

“Great performance by Georgia last week. What a showdown that’s going to be next weekend when Alabama will be in absolute desperation mode.”

The Play: Pass.

Tennessee at Florida
Kickoff: 3:30 p.m. ET
Friday Line: Tennessee -1.5 (opened Florida -2)
Over/Under: 48 (opened 48)
Public: 68 percent Vols

Analysis: “I think Tennessee should be slightly favored. They get Danny O’Brien back, the defensive tackle who has been suspended for a couple games.

“As long as Will Grier doesn’t get injured, I don’t think Treon Harris’ suspension is relevant. Jalen Tabor had a pick six against Eastern Carolina. He had a sack and a fumble recovery in the fourth quarter and was key in the comeback in Knoxville last year. He was a five-star recruit. The loss of Tabor hurts, but fortunately for Florida, they’re deep in the secondary, especially now that Vernon Hargreaves III is healthy.”

The Play: Lean to the under.

Louisiana-Monroe at Alabama
Kickoff: 4 p.m. ET
Friday Line: Alabama -38 (opened -37.5)
Over/Under: 55 (opened 54.5)
Public: 32 percent Crimson Tide

Analysis: “Regardless of last week’s results, Alabama has a huge game on deck. ULM had a bye, so they’ve had two weeks to prepare. Alabama’s got some issues to work through, and they’ve got a lot of noise to work through. Their fan base doesn’t take too kindly to losses.

“Also, you’ve got to stick with Jake Coker at quarterback. I don’t know why they started David Cornwell last week.”

The Play: Pass.

Vanderbilt at Ole Miss
Kickoff: 7 p.m. ET
Friday Line: Ole Miss -24.5 (opened -25.5)
Over/Under: 54 (0pened 55)
Public: 65 percent Rebels

Analysis: “I’m interested in a potential line move and maybe taking Vandy, if this were to go to 28. Nigel Bowden is probably not going to play due to a concussion, and he’s Vanderbilt’s best defensive player. I like how Johnny McCrary is playing. He keeps getting better every week.

“It’s the ultimate let-down spot for Ole Miss. Tony Conner getting injured doesn’t help. He was a second-team All-SEC player last year. Laremy Tunsil’s still out. But it’s hard to go to Ole Miss with the way the Rebels are playing right now.”

The Play: Lean to the over and pass on the game line unless Vanderbilt gets to +28.

Texas A&M vs. Arkansas
Kickoff: 7 p.m. ET
Friday Line: Texas A&M -7 (opened -7.5)
Over/Under: 58.5 (opened 58)
Public: 75 percent Aggies

Analysis: “If they didn’t have the injuries at the receiver position, I would think Arkansas had a chance to turn things around enough to keep this one closer. But their three best wide receivers are out: Keon Hatcher, Jared Cornelius and Cody Hollister.

“I think we really underestimated the loss of Jonathan Williams. We all just assumed that if Alex Collins stayed healthy, the running game would still be good. But you just can’t take a big-time player like that away from the team and it not hurt them a little. It’s not on Brandon Allen, but now he’s got to play without three wide receivers.

“I don’t think Texas A&M is going to blow them out, but I do think A&M will win. If it weren’t for the injuries, I’d probably be interested in Arkansas. But I really don’t have any feel for this one.”

The Play: Pass.

Mississippi State at Auburn
Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. ET
Friday Line: Auburn -3.5 (opened -2.5)
Over/Under: 58.5 (opened 58)
Public: 54 percent Bulldogs

Analysis: “I don’t typically risk money on a quarterback that I haven’t seen play. I feel like everybody agrees with this move, but I don’t know that I agree with it. I know Jeremy Johnson has not played well. And it’s a good move if Sean White plays well.

“Auburn seems to be in complete disarray. The defense was awful last week and couldn’t stop Leonard Fournette. But I’m not high on Mississippi State either. If I had confidence in White I’d take Auburn at less than a field goal favorite, but I don’t know what to expect from him.”

The Play: Pass, unless you really trust Sean White.

Missouri at Kentucky
Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. ET
Friday Line: Kentucky -2.5 (opened -2.5)
Over/Under: 44.5 (opened 43.5)
Public: 52 percent Tigers

Analysis: “Missouri gets Russell Hansbrough back, which is a huge lift for them. They just didn’t have any spark offensively last week against UConn. Missouri has looked terrible, but they are 3-0. This is the SEC opener and they’ve handled Kentucky since coming into the league, so I like Missouri here.”

The Play: Missouri.
