HOOVER, Ala. — Alongside Verne Lundquist, CBS Sports analyst Gary Danielson is one of the voices of the SEC.

Making the rounds on radio row Wednesday during SEC Media Days at The Wynfrey Hotel, Danielson set aside some time to visit with Saturday Down South for an exclusive one-on-one interview.

A former quarterback, Danielson discussed the apparent lack of talent at the game’s most important position heading into the 2016 campaign. He’s clearly a believer in Chad Kelly, and to a lesser extent Joshua Dobbs, but the rest of the conference still has questions to answer under center.

As far as his picks for the upcoming season are concerned, would he take defending-champion Alabama or the field in the West? And is breakthrough candidate Tennessee finally ready to take hold of the East?

Watch the video above for answers to those questions and more from one of the most respected figures in the game.
