Much of Derrick Henry’s family wasn’t in attendance to see him win the Heisman Trophy during the ceremony in New York on Saturday night. They were all the way down in a Jacksonville, Fla., hospital.

They were there to be with Henry’s 81-year-old grandmother, Gladys Henry, who was resting following a tracheotomy.

However, she and several of Henry’s relatives were tuned in to see Henry claim college football’s ultimate prize after claiming several records throughout the season, including the SEC single-season rushing record and several other school records.

“It was one of the biggest moments of my life,” Gladys told AL.com‘s Joseph Goodman.
