Jim Harbaugh arrived in Ann Arbor to much fanfare. That much we know. We also know that the Michigan coach has failed to deliver much bragging rights to the program’s fans, after achieving only one win in six attempts against the Wolverines’ main rivals in three seasons.

That’s something no one really needs to remind Harbaugh of at this point — but they do anyway. During Big Ten Media Days this week, Harbaugh was asked about Michigan’s six-game losing streak to Ohio State and how often he hears about it and how he plans on reversing his school’s success in those games. The Michigan coach offered up this comment to the question.

“We feel like just improvement. We need to improve. And that will lead to success. It will lead to championships. It’s that simple,” Harbaugh said.

Then his lack of success was seriously called into question by this Michigan State writer. This video has to be near cringe-worthy for Michigan fans:

Here was Harbaugh’s “answer” to that question:

“The improvement will lead to success, will lead to championships.”

Alrightly then. Think the Michigan coach is feeling some heat in Ann Arbor this year?
