WATCH: Texas walk-ons spoof Nickelback with hilarious goodbye video
Walk-on football players don’t often make much of a difference on the field on Saturdays, but that doesn’t mean they’re not important to the program.
On Tuesday, three Texas walk-on players paid tribute to their four years in Austin in the only way they knew how — a hilarious spoof music video.
As you can see in the video below, shared by @UT_Walkons on Twitter, the three players say farewell to the Longhorns with a spoof of “Photograph” by Nickelback:
Thank you @TexasFootball for the 4 years of memories, and a lifetime of brotherhood. 4th year walk-ons signing out. #CurtainCall #WalkOn4Lyfe

The Longhorns still have one game remaining — the Texas Bowl in Houston on Wednesday night against the Missouri Tigers — and with all the injuries and suspensions Texas is dealing with, it wouldn’t be surprising to see all these guys on the field.
Even if they don’t play, they left an impact on the program and it’ll be interesting to see where the talented individuals end up next.
