Will Rogers committed to the Washington Huskies less than a month ago. The quarterback entered the transfer portal after 4 seasons at Mississippi State and quickly decided on the Huskies.

However, now Kalen DeBoer has accepted the job at Alabama, Rogers is reportedly rethinking his decision. The QB has once again entered the transfer portal, per On3’s Pete Nakos:

It is important to note that every Washington player now has a 30-day window to enter the transfer portal due to DeBoer leaving. Rogers could also decide to stay at Washington if he doesn’t find a new landing spot in the portal.

Rogers spent 4 seasons at Mississippi State and played in 43 games. The QB threw for 12,315 yards, 94 touchdowns, and 28 interceptions during his time in Starkville. The QB had his best season in 2021 when he threw for 4,739 yards, 36 TDs, and 9 INTs. Rogers was originally rated as a 3-star prospect out of high school, per the 247Sports Composite ranking.

The hope in Seattle was that Rogers would come in and replace Michael Penix Jr. The Huskies had the top passing offense in the nation in 2023 and are hoping to recapture some of that magic in 2024.
