One of the biggest reasons why college football fans hate all the expansion is because some of the sport’s best rivalries will be ending because of it. Rivalries is one of the best things about college football. It doesn’t matter the records in these games, you never know how they are going to go. It can lead to some great trash talk as well, as it did just that between Clemson and South Carolina.

Before the game, there was an interaction between a Clemson staffer and South Carolina fans. During the exchange, the staffer told the fan “Gangsters don’t go to college.”

The game in Columbia is a big one, as South Carolina will become bowl eligible with a win. There is also revenge on the mind of Clemson. Last year, the Gamecocks defeated Clemson, 31-30, at Clemson, which all but eliminated the Tigers from making the College Football Playoff.

The loss for Clemson also ended 40-game home winning streak, while it also ended a 7-game winning streak for the Tigers in the series. That was tied for the longest all-time win streak for Clemson in this rivalry.

The game on Saturday is the 120th matchup all-time, with Clemson leading the all-time series, 72-43-4.
