Connor Shaw, South Carolina legend, reportedly leaving Gamecocks’ staff
By Adam Spencer
Published:
Connor Shaw is one of the most popular former players in South Carolina history.
He has also been a member of the off-field support staff for the Gamecocks since 2020, and served as the team’s QB coach during Mike Bobo’s 3-game tenure as interim coach after Will Muschamp was fired.
Now, though, 247Sports is reporting that Shaw is leaving his position:
Shaw was Carolina’s Director of Football Relations. He has been a part of the Gamecocks football staff since January of 2020 when then-head coach Will Muschamp hired him to be Director of Player Development. Shaw replaced another Carolina legend, Marcus Lattimore, in that role.
What’s next for Shaw remains to be seen, but it seems his time with the Gamecocks has come to an end. We’ll see who Shane Beamer hires to replace him.
