The moment South Carolina fans have been waiting for all season is finally here.

Darude is at Williams-Brice Stadium, and he played a live version of his iconic song Sandstorm. It’s safe to say Gamecocks fans were loving it.

Sandstorm has become synonymous with South Carolina and Williams-Brice Stadium. The song has been played at every home game for over a decade now, and the creator of the song finally made his way to Columbia to perform the song in front of fans.

Ahead of South Carolina’s game with Kentucky on Saturday night, Darude will be the celebrity starter as the Gamecocks come out for the 7:30 p.m. ET game.

South Carolina is looking for a big win over Kentucky on Saturday in a game that has turned into a fun rivalry in recent years. The Gamecocks are 2 wins away from reaching bowl eligibility, but they’ll need a pair of big games against the Wildcats and Clemson next week.

Kentucky is looking to bounce back from a loss to Alabama on Saturday.
