Josh Belk didn’t make the trip to Ole Miss when South Carolina played the Rebels, but he did take in a college football game on Saturday.

The defensive tackle, who has missed several recent games with an ankle injury and conditioning, instead went back to his former school, Clemson, where he was enrolled in January. Belk has only played in two games this season, the last one against Georgia in Week 2.

In this video tweeted by Greg Brzozowski of ABC Columbia, Belk talks with some former teammates on the field after Clemson beat Louisville, 77-16.

It was unclear if coach Will Muschamp cleared the trip, or even knew about it, but it apparently was a surprise to the Clemson sports information staff.

Belk, listed at 6-foot-3 and 359 pounds, and was a 4-star recruit according to 247 Sports, and was recruited heavily by both schools before he committed to Clemson in January, 2017.
