Jordan Burch may be committed to South Carolina but the five-star in-state recruit is making the Gamecocks sweat it out leading up to National Signing Day.

After announcing his decision to commit to Will Muschamp’s program live on national television during the first day of the Early Signing Period, Burch made the decision not to sign during the 72-hour window to do so. While Muschamp publicly noted at that time that he had no concerns about losing any committed prospect that did not sign with his program, Burch has since made an interesting visit leading up to the upcoming National Signing Day.

Burch visited Baton Rouge last weekend and is scheduled to take his final official visit to Columbia this weekend before making his college decision final. After publicly committed to South Carolina, Burch noted that LSU finished up as his runner-up during the Early Signing Period.

Now we know when the five-star lineman will make his final decision as Lou Bezjak of The State is reporting Burch will be signing with his school of choice on Feb. 5 at 1 p.m. ET on National Signing Day.

The 6-foot-5, 275-pound prospect from Columbia is rated as the No. 8 overall recruit in the nation and the nation’s No. 2 defensive tackle prospect by 247Sports Composite Rankings.
