South Carolina coach Will Muschamp had a meltdown to close the half after Ole Miss RB Snoop Conner was whistled out of bounds with one second remaining.

Muschamp may have been upset from a couple plays earlier after Ole Miss QB Matt Corral appeared to be sacked before he released a pass, but instead the play was ruled incomplete and the clock stopped at 18 seconds.

Corral then found Conner for a 27-yard pass as he ran down the sideline and eventually got out of bounds at the South Carolina 5-yard line. On the play before that, South Carolina’s Jammie Robinson was flagged for pass interference on a play involving Ole Miss WR Kenny Yeboah.

So Muschamp boiling over ultimately may have been the culmination of three calls going against the Gamecocks.

Ole Miss ultimately kicked a 22-yard field goal to take a 24-21 lead at halftime in a game where the teams rang up big numbers on offense, and combined for more than 500 yards.

The halftime speech was sure to be interesting, and the Gamecocks should have plenty of motivation in the second half.
