South Carolina head coach Frank Martin has emerged as a key target in Cincinnati’s coaching search, per Watch Stadium’s Jeff Goodman.

Martin has been at South Carolina for seven seasons and has compiled a record of 129-106, including 2016-17’s spectacular Final Four run. The Gamecocks finished 16-16 overall in 2018-19.

Cincinnati’s head coach Mick Cronin left for the UCLA job, and now, the Bearcats are looking for his replacement. Martin appears to be the primary candidate at this point.

It’s worth noting that Martin was an assistant at Cincinnati from 2004 to 2006.
