The SEC has announced that South Carolina will be playing in the Outback Bowl.

College football insider Brett McMurphy, was the first the news.  South Carolina will face Michigan in the game.

The game will be played Monday, January 1 at 12:00 pm ET in Tampa, Florida. It will be shown on ESPN2.

In one of the most memorable Outback Bowls of all-time, South Carolina defeated Michigan 33-28 in 2013. Of course, that game is most noted for “The Hit” heard ’round the college football world when Jadeveon Clowney destroyed Michigan RB Vincent Smith. We still can’t stop watching.

All things aside, the 2018 version of this game should be interesting, and it could turn into a low-scoring defensive battle.
