In his redshirt senior season, White led Gamecocks ball-carriers with 583 rushing yards at a clip of 6.63 yards per carry in the 2021 campaign. Due to COVID-19, the NCAA did not count the 2020 season against players’ 4-in-5 eligibility window, meaning White could have played a sixth season of college football.
After posting a 6-6 record in the first regular season of Shane Beamer’s tenure, South Carolina accepted a bid to play in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl. The Gamecocks will face North Carolina on Dec. 30. Kickoff from Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium is set for 11:30 a.m. ET, airing on ESPN.
