Spencer Rattler has been delivering a strong performance all week long at the Reese’s Senior Bowl. On Saturday, he put that strong work on display yet again in the game action.

Heading into the game, Rattler was already named the top quarterback of the American team in a vote from his defensive teammates. Then, he delivered a beautiful touchdown throw to Georgia’s Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint for the Senior Bowl’s opening touchdown.

When it was all said and done, Rattler went 4-for-4 in his limited action for 65 yards and a touchdown. That is a nice feather in his cap as Rattler heads into the rest of the pre-draft process.

Rattler once generated huge expectations at Oklahoma after a dynamic redshirt freshman season. However, he was surpassed by Caleb Williams with the Sooners during the 2021 season before Rattler transferred to South Carolina for his final 2 seasons. While with the Gamecocks, Rattler threw for over 6,200 yards with 37 touchdowns and 7 rushing touchdowns but did throw 20 interceptions.

Hopefully, Rattler can use his Senior Bowl performance as a springboard into the rest of the draft process. He certainly has plenty of talent but is not currently projected among the top tier of quarterbacks that will be available in April’s draft.
