When WR/KR Deebo Samuel went down with a leg injury earlier this year, it greatly affected the South Carolina offense.

The Gamecocks have had trouble scoring in recent weeks, even in games that they’ve ultimately won.

Samuel was originally expected to miss the whole season, but on Wednesday’s episode of “Carolina Calls,” coach Will Muschamp said there’s a chance Samuel could be back toward the end of the season if he’s cleared by doctors (via The State):

“Deebo Samuel, you are possibly looking at the end of the season, getting him some time, but at the end of the day that’s going to be a medical decision,” Muschamp said.

In three games before he broke his leg, Samuel caught 15 passes for 250 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for a touchdown and scored twice on kickoff returns.

If the Gamecocks can get the talented junior back soon, their offense will be a lot more dangerous heading into a potential bowl game.
