Caesars North Carolina Sportsbook Launch Details

North Carolina legal sports betting is already live and launched at multiple retail brick-and-mortar sportsbook locations, but bettors in the Tar Heel State are still patiently waiting for legal online sports betting capabilities.

In June of 2023, North Carolina governor Roy Cooper signed into law HB 347, which legalized online sports betting in the Tar Heel State. However, despite some hopes that online sports betting would launch in late 2023, it now seems more likely to be early to mid 2024. However, legislation states online sports betting must launch between the dates of January 8, 2024 and June 15, 2024, so it’s coming very soon.

In January of 2024, Cooper publicly stated that the goal is to have sportsbooks ready to launch by March in time for March Madness. In a state with such a rich passion for college basketball, this checks out. Indeed, that’s what happened, as online sportsbooks will go live in the Tar Heel State on March 11, 2024 — just in time for the ACC Tournament!

Caesars North Carolina Sportsbook will be among the first online sportsbook options available when the ball gets rolling. In addition to their established credibility as a major online sportsbook throughout the country, many users in the area will be familiar with Caesars already, thanks to their physical presence in the state of North Carolina

Caesars North Carolina Online Timeline, Expected Sportsbooks

Retail brick-and-mortar sportsbooks first went live in North Carolina in March of 2021, but legal online/mobile sportsbooks are not yet available for use despite legalization that went into effect in January of 2024.

Here’s a look at a timeline of notable events concerning the legalization of online sports betting in North Carolina.

Online Sportsbooks Coming To North Carolina

The official launch of legal online North Carolina sports betting on March 11, 2024, will bring a number of major U.S. sportsbooks into the fold for bettors to choose from. Given what’s played out in other states, North Carolina could have a wide variety already available on day one.

A pre-registration period is expected to begin on March 1, 2024, giving sports bettors 10 days to sign up for their favorite sportsbooks. This pre-launch time will represent the first chance for bettors in North Carolina to opt into generous promos and bonuses from various sportsbooks to maximize their betting power.

Caesars Sportsbook North Carolina Review

The following is Saturday Down South‘s full Caesars Sportsbook review:

User Interface

Caesars Sportsbook currently boasts one of the most popular mobile sports betting apps on the market, as it’s extremely easy to use, even for first-time bettors. The Caesars Sportsbook mobile app is available on both iOS and Android devices, as well as in a traditional web browser setting. Download the Caesars online sportsbook app for free from either the Apple or Google Play stores and you’ll be ready to get started.

After loading up the Caesars app, users will see various icons for different sports and leagues available at the top of the screen to instantly pull up odds for live and upcoming games/matches. Bettors can also find quick access tabs including Home, My Promos, My Bets, and Search at the bottom of the screen to easily navigate the sportsbook and find important pages.

It should be noted that users will be prompted (and required) to enable location services on their devices to access the Caesars online sportsbook. This is for Caesars to ensure the bettor is within legal sports betting boundaries for that particular state. There are already a number of states throughout the country where the Caesars online sportsbook is actively available.

There’s no question that Caesars online sportsbook will be a top option for new users getting started with North Carolina sports betting. And not just because of the user-friendly app, but because of the generous offers provided at initial sign-up.

Promos & Bonuses

As has been the case in a number of states where sports betting has already been legalized and launched, North Carolina users will have access to a host of promo and bonus options when online sports betting goes live in their home state. These bonuses provide bettors with a bit of insurance to make the initial few weeks of sports betting all the more enjoyable.

$1,000 First Bet Back On Caesars

It is currently unknown what North Carolina’s new user bonus will be, but this is similar to what other state launches have done in the past.

Users who opt into this promo have the luxury of watching their first real-money bet on Caesars completely stress-free. That’s because with this promo activated, if that first bet loses, Caesars will refund the full amount of the bet (up to $1,000) in bonus bets.

Caesars Rewards Program

Another special feature that makes Caesars Sportsbook a top option is the exclusive Caesars Rewards program. This program allows users to earn points by simply placing wagers on the Caesars Sportsbook both online and in-person at Caesars retail sportsbook locations. Rewards points can be redeemed for a host of different Caesars products and services including Caesars’ hotel booking, dining, shopping, show tickets, and spa rewards.

Same-Game Parlay

One of the features available to existing Caesars Sportsbook users, same-game-parlays are a great way for bettors to place a higher-level wager and increase their winning potential. When operating this feature, users can stack together multiple betting lines from one game/match to activate an SGP, and take their betting experience to the next level. It should be noted that same-game-parlays can carry separate parlay rules from traditional bets, so make sure to read through the regulations before selecting one of these perks.

Profit-Boosts

Also available as a regular bonus for both new and existing users at Caesars Sportsbook, profit boosts are a simple way for bettors to increase their winnings for free. Select betting lines will be boosted up free of charge by Caesars Sportsbook, to bring premium value to enthused bettors. Profit boosts can be found in their own individual tab on the Caesars Sportsbook home page for easy access all the time.

Deposit Methods

Caesars Sportsbook offers a number of safe and trustworthy deposit methods for bettors to fund their respective sportsbook accounts once the service goes live in NC. The current Caesars Sportsbook deposit options include:

Withdrawal Methods

Caesars Sportsbook bettors in North Carolina also have a number of options to withdraw funds from their sports betting account, including the following:

Caesars Sportsbook bettors should note that withdrawals can carry an allotted turnaround time. It’s typical that electronic withdrawal methods are quicker than traditional paper checks.

With so many popular hometown teams in a host of different sports at both the professional and collegiate levels, North Carolina residents will have no shortage of options when it comes to betting on their favorite in-state squads.

Check out Caesars’ latest odds for the Carolina Panthers, Charlotte Hornets, Carolina Hurricanes, University of North Carolina (Football and Basketball), and North Carolina State University (Football and Basketball):

Caesars Sportsbook provides users with a wide selection of sports and events to place wagers on. Available sports range from the U.S. to internationally across the globe including:

The long list of sports available to bet on Caesars Sportsbook is as thorough as any major U.S. sportsbook.

How To Register For A Caesars North Carolina Sportsbook Account

With most of the discussion targeting sometime in 2024 for a legal online sports betting launch date in North Carolina, bettors can begin to make accommodations. The rules and regulations for Caesars Sportsbook should be standard just as we’ve seen in various other states to this point.

To register for a Caesars Sportsbook North Carolina account, users will need to provide the following credentials and information when and only when pre-regestration opens in the state:

Caesars Sportsbook History

Caesars started to turn the wheels on its sportsbook operation in 2018 after the supreme court struck down a federal law that had previously banned sports betting (Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992). The longtime veterans of the gambling industry had an existing operation in Nevada and quickly moved to expand their services to newly legalized states throughout the country.

Caesars currently operates retail brick-and-mortar sportsbook locations in 14 states (including two locations in North Carolina) for bettors to place in-person wagers on a host of sports and events. After Caesars made a major acquisition of William Hill PLC in 2021, the company decided to relaunch the mobile sports betting app, and the results have certainly been successful to this point.

Given the pre-established rapport with sports bettors in North Carolina thanks to their retail sportsbook locations, the online Caesars Sportsbook launch should be a major one in the Tar Heel State. Expect Caesars to roll out the red carpet for new bettors in North Carolina when online betting goes live.

States Where Caesars Sportsbook Is Available
