Lucas Krull, former multi-sport SEC athlete, scores game-winning touchdown for Pittsburgh
Lucas Krull scored the game-winning touchdown Thursday night to lift Pittsburgh over North Carolina, 30-23 in overtime, and let loose with some serious celebration.
Krull, who played football at Florida and baseball at Arkansas, caught 4 passes for 51 yards, but his 11-yard score in overtime proved to be the difference. He also helped Pitt QB Kenny Pickett become the all-time leader in yards passing after 346 yards in the game, and 11,267 for his career, a mark he passed in the first quarter.
Pitt held the Tar Heels to just 88 yards rushing, and a 5-for-16 on third down.
