Nebraska fans express frustration with Scott Frost as Huskers struggle vs. Illinois
Midway through the third quarter of Saturday’s game in Lincoln, the Illinois Fighting Illini hold a 31-17 lead over Nebraska.
The Huskers just picked up their first win of the season last week against Penn State. The Illini did the same, taking down Rutgers.
This wasn’t supposed to be a team that started the season 1-2 and trending toward 1-3 if the result holds against Illinois. And, it’s fair to say Nebraska fans are turning their frustration toward coach Scott Frost.
Here’s some of the reaction to this latest letdown from the Cornhuskers:
Do you guys realize how horrendously bad and unacceptable this performance is on all cylinders? This is an atrocity of a football game by a fragile as hell football team. And Scott Frost deserves a lot of blame. #Huskers

How it started for Scott Frost at Nebraska vs. how it’s going.
The Cornhuskers are unbelievably bad, and are somehow finding a way to get much worse. pic.twitter.com/nojwC8HPlq

Scott Frost being the next big thing feels like 20 years ago.

How much longer does Scott Frost have at Nebraska? I wonder if they realize they have no chance of hiring anybody better, and I’m factoring this blowout home loss to Illinois into my statement.

When do Nebraska fans realize…Scott Frost is not turning this thing around, and hasn’t been. It’s been excuse after excuse. What is it now? Illinois is rolling you.

Scott Frost is a national championship winning coach, put some respect on his name. Jk, fire him today

I think it's time to realize nobody can save @HuskerFBNation football. Not even Scott Frost.

There’s still time for the Huskers to turn things around and beat the Illini, but if they don’t, Frost will face some serious questions about his ability to win at Nebraska.
