UCF has revealed the uniforms for the 2024 edition of the famous space game.

Fans look forward to the space-themed uniforms every year, and this year should be no different as the team recently announced “Mission VIII – Powering Humankind’s Return to the Moon.”

This year’s edition of the uniforms will feature white pants with a mission patch, black jerseys with white numbers that are outlined in blue, and black helmets with a blue outline and a blue back bumper.

The team is switching it up after going with light blue jerseys for 2023’s space game.

These uniforms have an insane amount of detail. On one sleeve of the jersey is the Pegasus constellation and on the other sleeve is the Orion constellation. The team notes that the blue outline on the jerseys and helmets is to represent “the sea and sky from where our space mission begins.”

The stripe on the pants represents the boosters on the sides of the Artemis program’s SLS rocket, as well as the speed of UCF’s players.

The helmets have the university’s motto, “Reach for the stars,” across the back bumper.

If you don’t know, UCF was originally founded to provide personnel for the U.S. space program at the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in 1963. Now, 29% of Kennedy Space Center employees are UCF alums, and the university annually has this space game to commemorate its origins.

The space game will take place on Nov. 2 against the Arizona Wildcats.
