There are two huge nonconference games involving Southeastern Conference programs on Saturday with LSU traveling to Texas and Texas A&M traveling to Clemson.

College GameDay has already announced it plans to broadcast live from Austin for the upcoming weekend.

Of the two games, it does appear to be the safer choice as Clemson has not lost a contest since the 2017 season and features a quarterback many are eager to call the best player of his generation — despite the fact he’s only completed one season of college football — and the Aggies face far more questions than the Tigers heading into the matchup.

For what it’s worth, LSU is even a road favorite heading into the Texas game while Texas A&M is nearly a three-touchdown underdog at Clemson.

Taking those things into consideration, it’s not a surprise some are expecting Texas A&M to just hope to have another good showing against on the road at Clemson. Inside the Aggie program, however, confidence is very high that Jimbo Fisher’s squad leaves the ACC’s version of Death Valley with a win.

Just ask junior offensive lineman and starting left guard, Jared Hocker. During his Monday media availability, the Aggie called for the weekend upset.

Hocker wasn’t alone in that thought.

Fellow junior Jhamon Ausbon offered up a similar comment on Monday when asked about Texas A&M’s upcoming trip to Clemson:

Those are some bold comments considering Clemson enters the game as the No. 1 team in the nation but the Aggies nearly defeated the Tigers last season and they appear confident that the strides they have taken since last season will be enough to split the two-game series come Saturday.
