Elijah Robinson won’t be with Texas A&M next season as he is reportedly taking the defensive coordinator job at Syracuse, per TexAgs’ Billy Liucci.

Robinson was the interim head coach for the Aggies during the final 2 games of the regular season. He went 1-1 during his time on tenure with Texas A&M, beating Abilene Christian and losing to LSU.

This decision comes after Mike Elko said that keeping Robinson would be a huge priority at his introductory press conference.

It’s a new era at Syracuse, as the team decided to part ways with Dino Babers. Robinson will be joining the staff of Fran Brown. Brown was the defensive backs coach at Georgia from 2022-2023.

Now that Texas A&M has decided to hire Elko, next is its bowl game. The Aggies will face Oklahoma State in the TaxAct Texas Bowl. Texas A&M and Oklahoma State’s last meeting was also in the Texas Bowl in 2019.

Kickoff is set for Dec. 27 at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN.
