Texas A&M landed a big piece to its 2020 recruiting class late Friday night.

Four-star all-purpose running back Devon Achane (Missouri City, Texas) committed to the Aggies over offers from around the country, including Alabama and LSU. The 5-9, 170-pound playmaker is ranked as the nation’s No. 6 all-purpose back and the state of Texas’ No. 35 overall prospect, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. He may play a few different positions in Aggieland, but one thing is for sure — Jimbo Fisher will give him the football early and often.

Achane is a blazer, and on Friday night, he scored the 100th touchdown of his high school career.

Following Achane’s commitment, Texas A&M now has 21 verbal pledges for the class of 2020 and will push for a top five finish this recruiting cycle.

He shared his commitment via Twitter:
