Jake Johnson didn’t take long to find a new home. The nation’s No. 1 tight end prospect decommitted from LSU last week and pledged to Texas A&M on Wednesday.

The Oconee County (Georgia) standout is listed at 6-5, 225 pounds and rated 4-stars, the No. 1 tight end, No. 7 Peach State product and No. 83 prospect overall nationally on the 247Sports Composite. Johnson’s recruiting profile shows 15 scholarship offers. He had committed to LSU on April 15, but backed off that pledge Dec. 7, the same evening his brother Max Johnson announced he would be leaving the Tigers and entering the transfer portal.
