Jimbo Fisher was expected to be an upgrade over Kevin Sumlin in College Station, but after 50 games, the current Aggies coach has a very similar record as the previous Aggies coach.

Fisher at 35-15 has one less win, and one more loss than Sumlin at the same point in their tenure. Comparisons like these typically pop up when a coach suffers a tough loss as Texas A&M did on Saturday against Appalachian State. Other programs, like Georgia between Kirby Smart and Mark Richt, have seen their comparisons go viral at times.

The Mountaineers were led by QB Chase Brice who threw for 134 yards and a touchdown and App State took advantage of 2 turnovers to stun A&M 17-14 on Saturday. App State won a week after it scored 6 touchdowns and 40 points in the fourth quarter in a 63-61 opening loss to North Carolina.

It was a thorough dismantling for the Mountaineers, as they outgained A&M 305-186 and had 22 first downs to just 9 by the Aggies. On time of possession, App State held a 41:29 to 18:31 advantage.
