LOOK: Texas A&M honors Myles Garrett, Trevor Knight outside Kyle Field
Texas A&M is etching the names of Myles Garrett and Trevor Knight into history.
The Aggies tweeted out photos on Friday of the names being engraved into pillars outside Kyle Field in College Station.
Names of players who were All-Americans or national award winners are etched into the pillars. Garrett was a consensus All-American last season, while Knight won the Wuerffel Trophy as the player “who best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement.”
Garrett’s name was etched for the second time, as he also made All-America teams in 2015. Knight was the first national award winner for the Aggies since 2012 when Luke Joeckel won the Outland Trophy as the nation’s top lineman and Johnny Manziel won the Davey O’ Brien and Manning Award.
