Mike Elko was introduced as Texas A&M’s new head coach Monday afternoon. There, Elko gave his vision for the program and conveyed his excitement to lead Texas A&M football in coming seasons.

Following the press conference, reports of Elko’s salary at Texas A&M came from the press conference. Elko will make a base salary of $7 million yearly with an $11 million assistant pool.

He will also receive incentives, including the following:

  • $100K to reach SEC Championship
  • $1 million for reaching the CFP
  • $1.5 million to reach CFP quarterfinals and/or win the SEC Title
  • $2 million to advance to CFP semifinals
  • $2.5 million to reach CFP title game
  • $3 million to win CFP national title
