Mike Elko provides injury update for Conner Weigman ahead of Week 4
Mike Elko met with reporters on Monday to discuss, among other things, the status of starting QB Conner Weigman for Week 4 against Bowling Green.
After missing last week Weigman is listed as day-to-day and week-to-week. Elko said that he’ll give the ball to whichever QB gives his team the best chance to win.
Mike Elko: “Conner (Weigman) is going to be listed as day-to-day and week-to-week.”
“We’ll continue to manage the quarterback room in the same manner that we have and play the guy we feel gives us the best chance to win.”

Elko also said that Weigman will be having his shoulder re-imaged to make sure there’s nothing the Aggies are missing when incorporating him into their plans moving forward.
Mike Elko on Conner Weigman: “We’re going to re-image it to make sure there’s nothing there that we’re missing and make sure we have the right plan in place.”
“We’ll sit down with our medical team this evening and come up with the right plan and course of action for this week.”

Weigman missed last week’s game with a shoulder injury, allowing Marcel Reed a shot at leading the offense. And lead he did, as Reed finished with 178 yards and 2 passing touchdowns alongside 83 rushing yards with a rushing touchdown.
The Aggies face off against Bowling Green this week at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Need to let Connor heal up. Reed will do just fine against Bowling Green.
yeah, I feel bad for Conner. This Reed kid may be for real. Waiting to hold judgement – Reed showed great instincts, his TD passes were both on busted coverages, wide open, and his first one was almost dangerously thrown behind he TE, who made a great catch. But, I’m really excited for Reed to ball – going to this game – been a while since I’ve been to CSTAT.
SDS is really desperate for clicks usually, but sometimes they have material. Basically a weak blog that doesn’t have much to offer, occasionally has decent write ups.
Need to let Conner sit and watch Marcel play QB.
