Texas A&M may lose a defender before fall camp.

According to 247Sports’ Jeff Tarpley, citing sources, defensive tackle Mohamed Diallo has entered the NCAA transfer portal. It’s worth noting that Diallo can still return to TAMU even after entering the portal; however, his entry into the portal allows coaches to contact him about a potential transfer.

Currently, there are likely more players in the portal than scholarships available.

The 6-foot-4, 320-pound lineman is from Toronto. He signed as a 3-star prospect in the class of 2018, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Diallo didn’t play football prior to a high school all-star game following his senior year, and he attended JUCO. He redshirted his first season at Texas A&M in 2018. The lineman recorded three tackles and a sack during the Aggies’ spring game.

Thus far, he’s struggled to move up the defensive line depth chart, and that may have him looking elsewhere for playing time.
