Ross Bjork and Mark A. Welsh introduced Mike Elko as Texas A&M’s head coach Monday afternoon in front of reporters and fans.
While speaking, Bjork noted something that Johnny Manziel had told him about what the future identity of Texas A&M football needs to look like. Bjork said Manziel told him the Aggies need to be an “intimidating bully”, though he insists he used “another adjective” to keep it G-rated in front of the fans.
.@RossBjorkAD: “Johnny Manziel is the one that said we needed to be an intimidating bully. He actually had another adjective, but he said that’s what we needed to be. That was pretty powerful coming from an offensive player.”

And Manziel’s not wrong. With the Aggies sitting on one of the top recruiting beds in the nation and constant talent flowing in and out of the program, Texas A&M should be a college football titan. But under Fisher, the Aggies just weren’t/
We’ll see if Elko is the guy to unlock that potential soon enough.
