In the transfer portal era, fans worry that if a highly touted freshman isn’t an instant star then he’ll look for a fresh start elsewhere. Demond Demas told Texas A&M fans Sunday that they don’t have to worry about him leaving Jimbo Fisher’s program.
Dema took to Twitter to tell people “stop saying I’m transferring.” He reminded the 12th Man that he previously told Fisher “let’s win a lot of games” together.
Demas was rated 5-stars and the No. 25 overall prospect on the 247Sports Composite in the 2020 class based on his time at Houston North Forest. He spent his senior year at Tomball (Texas) as a student but was ineligible for that season. Demas committed to the Aggies on Sept. 8, 2018, more than a year out from his signing.
Demas saw limited action this season, contributing to transfer rumors. He did not record any offensive statistics. The latest version of his 12th Man online bio states Demas has played in three games and made his collegiate debut in the Texas A&M-Alabama game.
Omg stop saying I’m transferring it’s not happening I did not tell Jimbo let’s win a lot of games for no reason This W is a start to something very special. U gotta start somewhere 💯 #GigEm👍🏾
