Texas A&M added another piece to the offensive line group Friday, landing a transfer commitment from a veteran player out of Richmond.
The player is Derek Ferraro, a 6-foot-6 and 303-pound prospect that began his college career at Rice. A member of the 2018 recruiting class, Ferraro spent 4 seasons with the Owls before playing the 2022 season at Richmond.

Last season, Ferraro appeared in 9 games for the Spiders. Prior to that, Ferraro appeared in 6 games for Rice in the 2021 season.
It’s initially hard to see where Ferraro might slot into the offensive line mix for the Aggies. However, most programs are in constant search of capable bodies for the offensive line, especially one with the physical size of Ferraro.
Whether or not Ferraro carves out a lot of playing time, he certainly adds a bit of depth to the offensive front for Jimbo Fisher’s program.
