Texas A&M fans call themselves “The 12th Man” and they certainly lived up to their reputation in 2018.

Excitement was high for coach Jimbo Fisher’s first year at the helm of the program, and even when the team was struggling a bit, fan support was still incredible.

Because of that unwavering support, the A&M student section was named the Taco Bell Live Mas Student Section of the Year. After winning the award in Week 13 following the seven-overtime thriller vs. LSU, ESPN said this about the Aggie student section (via 247Sports):

It’s not just that the Aggies have the largest student section in college football. It’s that they show up early, never stop yelling and stay until the very end. For seven overtimes and nearly five hours of football, the three decks on the east side of Kyle Field remained filled with students. Even as the seventh overtime played, they were on their feet yelling, waving towels and creating a booming home field advantage in the Aggies’ historic 74-72 win over LSU. Even the press box could feel the electricity as the stadium shook multiple times during the game from students swaying and yelling for their team. The noise level was deafening and didn’t quit until well after the students flooded Kyle Field in celebration. Tradition, endurance, impact… qualities that make them the Live Más Student Section of the Week.

This is a great honor for the Aggie fanbase, as the fans consistently fill the massive Kyle Field.

Great work, Aggie fans!
