Like a college football soap opera, the recruitment of Zach Evans has taken another turn. The highly sought-after 5-star running back is officially on Tennessee campus this weekend, according to Ryan Callahan of 247Sports.

Evans’ trip to Rocky Top comes a week after he visited Ole Miss. Callahan reports that Brian Niedermeyer deserves credit for getting the 5-star running back on UT campus. Jeremy Pruitt’s ace recruiter recently made the trip to Texas to visit Evans. Callahan also acknowledges that Texas A&M still appears to be involved and “sources have indicated that Georgia now might be back in the running for him.”

Callahan’s sources aren’t the only ones thinking Evans could ultimately be a Bulldog when all is said and done:

When the visit to Oxford was first announced, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Florida were thought to be the new leading three for the Georgia signee who was released from his Letter of Intent. At the Under Armour All-America Game, Evans told a reporter that his final three came down to Georgia, Alabama and LSU. The way this has gone, we’re probably in for a rollercoaster ride until Evans enrolls somewhere.
