Tennessee defensive lineman Alexis Johnson pleaded not guilty to assault and false imprisonment Tuesday, according to The Tennessean.

The alleged victim claims she was assaulted by Johnson in Volunteer Hall after declining to have sex with him. He then allegedly busted her lip and choked her.

Johnson, a JUCO transfer, was named in the Title IX lawsuit filed against the university and has been suspended from all team activities.

Johnson’s preliminary hearing is set for April 21.
