George MacIntyre is ready to play in the SEC, and has been for a while since his finalists were Alabama and Tennessee, with LSU reportedly also in the mix. Clemson, Michigan and UCLA have also been in the running during MacIntyre’s recruitment.

MacIntyre shared at a ceremony at his school on Monday morning that he committed to Tennessee.

MacIntyre is the No. 3 quarterback in the Class of 2025 and a 5-star QB, according to the 247Sports Composite, and the No. 15 player nationally. He is 6-foot-5 1/2 and 182 pounds.

MacIntyre is the nephew of current Florida International head coach Mike MacIntyre. His grandfather is late former Vanderbilt head coach George MacIntyre. His father, Matt MacIntyre, played for Jack Harbaugh at Western Kentucky.

MacIntyre the last 2 seasons in high school has had big seasons, including throwing for 2,341 yards and 19 touchdowns as a sophomore, according to 247Sports, and led Brentwood Academy to the final four in Tennessee. He has a big arm and above average athleticism and also passed for 3,229 yards and 28 scores as a junior.
