Grant Williams credits Tennessee fans for showing up in Nashville: 'This is our state'
The Tennessee Volunteers advanced to the SEC Tournament final on Saturday by beating Kentucky 82-78.
It was a hard-fought effort, and the crowd seemed to be a pretty even split for the two ferocious fanbases. Vol Nation got the last laugh, though, as their team will move on to play Auburn on Sunday for a title.
After the game, star big man Grant Williams credited the fans for showing up and preventing a Kentucky takeover in Nashville:
#Vols’ Grant Williams: “I told you Vol Nation would be here. I told you. I knew it wouldn’t just be blue in here today. I knew Vol Nation wouldn’t let Kentucky fans buy up this whole arena. This is our state."

Vol Nation has one more game to show its strength, and this one will actually be for the conference title, even if Saturday’s semifinal felt more intense.
Can the Vols cut down the nets? We’ll find out on Sunday afternoon.
