The newest controversy out of Knoxville is that OL Brett Kendrick was allowed to play with a concussion against Kentucky last weekend.

It’s the latest in a long line of controversies under coach Butch Jones, who many think won’t last much longer as Tennessee’s coach.

Unsurprisingly, former Tennessee RB Jalen Hurd’s stepfather, Arthur Smotherman, had something to say about it on Wednesday, saying Jones once mishandled one of Hurd’s concussions by calling it a leg injury:

At this point, it wouldn’t be surprising if Smotherman’s story was true, but based on the way Hurd left the Vols, it would be wise to take things with a grain of salt.

However, if true, Smotherman’s tweets above would be another piece of evidence against Jones as the Tennessee coach tries desperately to hold on to his job.
