Josh Heupel thanks Tennessee seniors, fans after Vols defeat Vanderbilt

Tennessee’s first regular season under Josh Heupel ends on a high note. Heupel’s Volunteers took care of in-state rival Vanderbilt, winning 45-21 at home in Knoxville to give UT a 7-5 record heading into the postseason.
After the game, Heupel spoke to reporters and touched on a few topics. The first-year head coach thanked Tennessee seniors and the Volunteer fan base for their buy-in to his program’s culture in Year 1. The Vols will learn their bowl assignment after next weekend’s conference championship games. Before bowl prep, Heupel and his assistants will hit the recruiting trail.
