Tennessee has granted another 2021 signee release from National Letter of Intent
Despite all the speculation surrounding his job security on Rocky Top, Jeremy Pruitt and his former Volunteer coaching staff managed to sign a solid recruiting class for Tennessee.
Well, all those concerns turned out to be warranted as Pruitt was fired by Tennessee and the defections continue to mount when it comes to the program’s 2021 signing class.
After letting four-star linebacker Dylan Brooks, four-star running back Cody Brown and three-star offensive lineman J’Marion Gooch all out of their National Letter of Intent, Tennessee has now done the same for four-star defensive lineman KaTron Evans. This news was first reported by Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports.
Evans rated as the No. 17 defensive tackle prospect and a top 200 overall recruit in the 2021 recruiting cycle out of Maryland.
Following Evans’ release from his National Letter of Intent, Tennessee has now signed just 17 prospects in the 2021 recruiting cycle. Only six of those 17 ranked as four-star prospects.
After receiving his release, Evans issued the following tweet on Wednesday:
