Three-star athlete Kendall Bussey announced his commitment to Tennessee on Friday.

“This was tough. Up until this morning, pretty much, it was a coin flip. But I’ll be furthering my education at the University of Tennessee,” Bussey announced.

“I went up (to Tennessee) at 12 years old for a Junior Olympic track meet, and I just left Knoxville astonished. I never got why, but it always had a special place in my heart. And not many people are able to live out their dream, being able to go to their dream school and play for their dream school. I saw the opportunity, and I felt I had to seize it.”

Bussey was also considering Texas A&M, Nebraska and Indiana. The 5-door-8, 192-pound athlete committed to Nebraska in February, but reopened his recruitment in November following the firing of former head coach Bo Pelini.

Bussey ranks as the No. 30 all-purpose back for the 2015 recruiting class and the No. 16 player from Louisiana.
