The Tennessee Volunteers are still searching for their next head coach after the reported deal with Greg Schiano fell through on Sunday.

All signs Sunday began pointing to the story that Schiano and Tennessee were close to finishing a deal to bring him to Knoxville. That report was not well received by many Vols fans. Fans in Knoxville gathered together to protest Schiano while Tennessee’s Rock received a paint job aimed at the coach.

In the end, the reported deal fell through. As a result, The Rock received another paint job on Monday, this time directed at Tennessee AD John Currie. Fans were seemingly angry that Currie had gone after Schiano, but Kirk Herbstreit revealed Thursday that a former Vols legend had approved of the signing.
