Peyton Manning as an NFL owner? Report says it could happen in Carolina
By Adam Spencer
Published:
Peyton Manning has been courted for a number of jobs since he retired, including U.S. senator and Monday Night Football analyst.
Now, he’s being recruited for another potentially interesting job — NFL team owner.
According to a report from The Charlotte Observer, billionaire Ben Navarro wants Manning to join his ownership group that is trying to buy the Carolina Panthers:
Charleston billionaire Ben Navarro has reached out to two-time Super Bowl winner Peyton Manning about joining his ownership group that is bidding on the Carolina Panthers, according to two sources with knowledge of the discussions.
Seeing Manning with a team other than the Indianapolis Colts or Denver Broncos would be weird, but the chance to get in on owning an NFL team might be too good to pass up.
Manning has plenty of money to purchase a small share of the team, so now we’ll have to wait and see if he decides to move forward with this new opportunity.
