Report: Greg Schiano seeking compensation for broken deal with Tennessee
By Adam Spencer
Published:
For a brief period of time on Sunday, it appears Ohio State DC Greg Schiano was Tennessee’s head coach.
However, the backlash from fans and politicians led the Vols to back out of the deal, but backing out of a signed agreement is easier said than done.
Indeed, now it appears that Schiano and his representatives would like compensation for Tennessee backing out of the agreement, according to FootballScoop:
Am told UT & Greg Schiano had a understanding of terms & now Schiano’s side is seeking compensation for breaking the agreement off. Wow https://t.co/ppxU2CWIrn

How much compensation Schiano is seeking remains to be seen, but if the Ohio State defensive coordinator gets even a penny from Tennessee, it will be a horrible look for AD John Currie.
Vol Nation is none too happy with the Vols’ athletic director these days, and it may be tough for him to weather this storm he has created.
