Former Tennessee QB Tee Martin has been let go as offensive coordinator at USC, according to a report from Ryan Abraham of Inside Troy.

Martin first joined the Trojans staff in 2012 under Lane Kiffin as a wide receivers coach. Under Steve Sarkisian and Clay Helton he moved up to passing game coordinator and later offensive coordinator.

USC fell to 5-7 after losing to No. 3 Notre Dame in Week 13. Despite the losing season, Southern Cal AD Lynn Swann opted to keep Helton as head coach, a move that surprised (and disappointed) many Trojans fans. This year, USC ranks nationally No. 84 in total offense and No. 91 in scoring offense.

Martin’s alma mater happens looking for an offensive coordinator. Last December, when Martin had a job, he made it clear to UT that he was only interested in returning to Rocky Top to be the head coach. It’s unknown if either party’s stance has changed roughly a year later.
