Rick Barnes discusses John Fulkerson, Kennedy Chandler injuries
Rick Barnes and the Tennessee Volunteers are busy preparing for the 2021-22 season.
On Saturday, they’ll host an exhibition game against Lenoir-Rhyne. But, they’ll possibly be without a couple of key players.
On Tuesday, Barnes revealed that big man John Fulkerson is dealing with a broken thumb and wouldn’t play on Saturday. He also said 5-star freshman Kennedy Chandler has missed some time with an injury:
Rick Barnes says that John Fulkerson will miss the exhibition game this weekend with a broken thumb. Fulkerson is expected to be ready to go for the season opener. Also says that Kennedy Chandler has missed some time lately with a minor injury but will be back at practice today.

The good news is Barnes said Chandler is expected back at practice on Tuesday, while Fulkerson isn’t expected to miss the season opener on Nov. 9.
The Vols have some high expectations this year. They’ll tip off their 2021-22 campaign on Nov. 9 with a home game against UT Martin.
