Tennessee already had one of the highest-rated recruiting classes in the Southeastern Conference entering the weekend but the Vols just added another name to the program’s commitment list as Alabama native Roc Taylor has announced his commitment to join Jeremy Pruitt’s program.

Taylor announced his commitment on Friday, which has been confirmed by Pruitt not long after. Following his addition to Tennessee’s recruiting class, the Vols now hold pledges from 10 prospects in the 2021 recruiting cycle.

The 6-foot-3, 212-pound Oxford, Ala., native is rated as a three-star prospect and the No. 17 tight end in the nation according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. Taylor picked Tennessee over scholarship offers from Georgia Tech, Memphis, Arkansas State and FAU.

Of Tennessee’s 10 commitments in the 2021 recruiting cycle, Taylor ranks as the third highest-rated prospect in the class.

Based on these clips, Taylor could develop into a hybrid receiver/tight end at the next level and present a nightmare matchup for SEC secondaries.
