Jeremy Pruitt entered Saturday with hopes of being the first former Nick Saban assistant to get a win over the old boss as a head coach. Pruitt’s Volunteers, however, did not come through as Alabama thumped Tennessee 48-17 in Knoxville.

After starting 2-0 in 2020, UT is now 2-3 on the year with back-to-back losses to Georgia, Kentucky and Alabama. Over in the Big Ten, Greg Schiano is back as Rutgers’ head coach. The Scarlet Knights start Schiano’s second run 1-0 with Rutgers’ 38-27 win over Michigan State.

Schiano and Pruitt are getting mentioned in a lot of the same tweets trolling Tennessee.
