The Tennessee coaching staff has found its power running back for the 2020 recruiting cycle as Maryville native Tee Hodge gave Jeremy Pruitt and his Volunteer staff his commitment on Friday.

If you were unaware, Hodge is the nephew of Knoxville native and former Kentucky standout Randall Cobb.

The 6-foot-2, 230-pound running back from Maryville High School, located just outside of Knoxville, commits to Tennessee over scholarship offers from Michigan, Oregon, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Penn State and Virginia Tech, among others. 247Sports Composite Rankings list Hodge as the No. 48 running back in the nation and the No. 22 overall prospect from Tennessee in the 2020 recruiting cycle.

Following this news, Tennessee now holds 12 commitments for the 2020 recruiting cycle, with Hodge being the lone running back in the class. Look for the Tennessee staff to add one other running back, most likely a versatile option in the backfield, before finishing up its recruiting efforts of running backs in this class.

Hodge rushed for 723 yards and 12 touchdowns last season before putting on some weight this offseason in order to become a more physical weapon as a running back. While he plays both sides of the ball in high school, Hodge is expected to be a running back on Rocky Top.
